Eventful Weekend

What a weekend I've had... The Fall Festival was fun yesterday and I'm glad I participated. I wish some of the other members of our group worked as has as the rest of us, but it's ok. I know I'm doing my part.
I am so grateful to my husband right now. He's really gotten on board with my son alex coming home to live with us. Alex has really hurt Joe in the past and Joe is moving beyond that and trying to help alex. Takes a big man to do that. Alex will be home Thanksgiving.
Clemson had a big win over Florida State...Go Tigers!

TGIF November 6, 2009

Life was good today. Savanna had her appointment with doctors...5 to be exact. Neuro-ENT-Genetics-Cranial Plastic Surgeon, Speech Pathology... All were in agreement, she does not need to have her skull cracked. WHEW! We are all so relieved and feel very blessed. Grandbabies are so special and Savanna has just wrapped herself around my heart.

Once again, my youngest has me awake tonight. He's 3000 miles away with his dad and I'm sleepless with thoughts of him. I haven't seen Alex, age 17, since July 8th when I put him on the plane to go to Sequim, Washington to live with his Dad. We hoped he'd have a fresh start there without the influence of his so-called "friends" here. He's not doing great... had a tooth knocked out in a fight 2 weeks ago.. but he's alive and not in jail.. He'll be home for Thanksgiving and I can't wait to see him. I don't care how bad he is...He's my son. I'm praying he'll grow up one day...Just have to keep him alive until that time arrives. :)

My oldest, Adrienne, is a joy. She's a senior at Clemson and continues to excel at whatever she turns her mind to. She got her first speeding ticket today.. ahhhh.... yep, glad she's on her dad's insurance. LOL She'll hear next week on Teach For America. She's going to temporarily forego grad. school if she's selected for this program. Bless her heart, she told me she has a job lined up if all falls through. NOT going to happen... Any grad. school should feel blessed to have her. She's a gift.. :) Nope, I'm not biased at all. LOL

Guess I need some sleep. Closing my post for now. As Alex says, "alright, later." :)

Have I mentioned how much I love my husband? He's my rock...He would tease me unmercifully if he knew I was writing a blog, however. That's why he's asleep while I'm typing. :) I pray that God will lead him to the perfect job.
